#Guam is tropical and beautiful year round. We have learned to weather the storms. One of the things I love about living here is that people don’t freak out over a problem. They pull together and figure it out.

#Wutip is currently a Supertyphoon moving out of the area at 5mph. Guam will continue to see tropical storm force winds and heavy rain for a few more days.

WATCHES AND WARNINGS
--------------------
A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Satawal in Yap State and
for Puluwat in Chuuk State.

A Tropical Storm Warning and Typhoon Watch remain in effect for
Faraulep in Yap State.

A Tropical Storm Warning remain in effect for Ulul in Chuuk
State.

A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian,
and Saipan in the Mariana Islands and Woleai in Yap State.

Maximum sustained winds...100 mph
Present movement...west-northwest...295 degrees at 8 mph

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 400 AM CHST...1800 UTC...the center of Typhoon Wutip was located
near Latitude 7.7 degrees North and Longitude 148.1 degrees East.
Wutip is moving west-northwest at 8 mph. It is expected to make a
slight turn toward the northwest with an increase in forward speed
over the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 100 mph. Wutip is forecast to
intensify through tonight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
35 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 150 miles.

NEXT ADVISORY
-------------
The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National
Weather Service at 800 AM ChST followed by an intermediate
advisory at 1100 AM ChST.
