7 hrsTROPICAL DEPRESSION 02W UPGRADED TO TROPICAL STORM WUTIP
Tropical Storm Wutip continues westward through Chuuk State this morning, now with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.
Tropical storm warnings and watches remain in effect for islands and atolls across Chuuk State. We have issued a Typhoon Watch for Satawal and Puluwat.
There are currently no watches or warnings for Guam or the CNMI. However, folks in the Marianas should keep a very close watch on developments with TS Wutip as this storm will be a factor in weekend forecasts.

Just a heads up if you haven’t heard. A tropical disturbance is in the area but so far the track shows it going south of us Sunday, but rain and blustery conditions will remain and increase through the weekend. See the Kuam story here.

Tropical disturbance
NWS/NOAA is track a disturbance in our area but the latest track seems to indicate it will pass well to the south Sunday. What you are seeing right now is the high pressure sheer line bringing wind and rain down from Asia. That sheer line is what will push the disturbance south so I’ll take blustery over blowing
