I read two articles about this song, noting on one that Noel wondered that many people didn’t get the Peace message. I guess what I’m getting at is right back to the title. Do you hear what I hear; that Christ was born to save you, or do you only see that commercial Santa Claus thing we get roped into every year?

The pair, married at the time, created this carol as an appeal for peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
